How to turn on sound alerts

Push (Browser) Notifications

In WFS it is possible to receive Push Browser Notifications which will play a sound alarm when new detections have been made. 

Benefits of sound alerts

If you want to receive notifications about new detections within your monitored areas without having to regularly check you email or phone, push browser alerts are for you. 

Especially if the environment of stationary work locations in an operation center where new detections have to be known and dealt with quickly, sound alerts can be beneficial.  

In order to receive the sound alarm you need to enable sound notifications for the browser you are using to access WFS on your device.

Setting sound alarms in Windows 11

1. Open the Windows Start Menu and select Settings

2. Select System

3. Select Notifications

4. Click on the Browser you are using to access WFS (e.g. Google Chrome)

5. Turn on Notifications

Specifically, you will also want to turn on Play a sound when a notification arrives

Setting sound alarms on Apple:

1. Open your settings and go to Notifications

Search for the Browser you are using for WFS (e.g. Google Chrome)

2. Turn on Notifications and Play sound for notification

From now on you will receive sound alarms for new WFS detections.
